PROCESSIONAL CROSS,Limoges, early 13th century. Wooden core mounted with chased and gilt copper, set with glass stones and champleve enamel plaques in turquoise, dark blue, red and green. The Corpus Christi in engraved, gilt and enameled copper. One side of the cross with the crucified Christ and half-figures of the Evangelists at the cross ends. Verso with round, enamel plaque of Christ in Majesty. The cross ends with the symbols of the Evangelists. Losses and chips. Supplements. H 41 cm.

Gilt bronze, white marble and painted enamel. The front with large enamel chapter ring with Arabic hours and minutes as well as Arabic month days; below, 2 smaller enamel rings with French month names and zodiac symbols, and with French weekdays and planetary symbols; surmounted by a finely painted moon phase window. IMPORTANT CLOCK WITH BOULLE MARQUETRY and plinth, Regence, the case by A.C. BOULLE (Andre Charles Boulle, 1642-1732), the design drawing for the plinth by G.M. OPPENORDT (Gilles Marie Oppenordt, 1672-1742), the front and the movement signed THURET A PARIS (Jacques III Thuret, 1669-1738), circa 1720/25. Matte and polished gilt bronze and ebonized wood inlaid with brown tortoiseshell and brass. Relief-decorated gilt dial with engraved Arabic minutes and 13 enamel plaques, 12 with blue Roman hour numerals. 2 blued hands. The clock glass with enamel cartouche for the signature in blue. Fine movement striking the 1/2 hours on bell. Rich gilt mounts and applications. Some restoration required, enamel with fine hair-line cracks and small chips. Some losses in the marquetry.
