BUREAU PLAT "AUX MASCARONS" WITH BOULLE MARQUETRY,Regence, from a Paris master workshop, after designs by A.C. BOULLE (Andre Charles Boulle, 1642-1732), circa1710/20. Ebony and brown tortoiseshell with exceptionally fine inlays of brass fillets in "contre partie". Rectangular top lined with gold-stamped black leather and edged in bronze. The front with broad central drawer, flanked on each side by 1 drawer. Same, but sham arrangement verso. Exceptionally fine, matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. The marquetry and some bronzes supplemented. 181x87x78 cm. Provenance: from a French collection. Expertise by Cabinet Dillee, Guillaume Dillee / Simon Pierre Etienne, Paris 2013.
