RARE HAUSMALER BEAKER AND SAUCER.

Meissen, ca. 1725, painting attributed to Johann Friedrich Metzsch, ca. 1745.
Each painted with a landscape vignette in purple camaïeu. Incised mark / in the base ring of the saucer.
H of the beaker 8.2 cm, D of the saucer 13.8 cm.


Provenance:
- Collection Dr. Max Fahrländer, Basel-Riehen.
- In a private collection via inheritance, Winterthur.

A similarly painted tea pot is in the Arnhold Collection, Cassidy-Geiger, The Arnhold Collection of Meissen Porcelain 1710-1750, 2008, page 647.
