PLATE WITH 'YELLOW LION' DECORATION, Meissen, circa 1740.Gold painted 'Altbrandenstein' form. With Yellow Lion and scattered Indianische Blumen and insects. Underglaze blue sword mark, impressed number 22. D 24 cm. Provenance: from a Swiss private collection.

Form 'Altbrandenstein' gold gefasst, nach einem Kakiemon Vorbild bemalt mit dem 'Gelben Löwen', verstreute Indianische Blumen und Insekten. Unterglasurblaue Schwertermarke, Pressnummer 22. D 24 cm.
