PIRANESI, GIOVANNI BATTISTA (Mogliano bei Mestre 1720 - 1778 Rome ).Sepolcro di Cecilia Metella, 1762. From the suite: Vedute di Roma. Etching, 45.7x 63.8 cm. Hind 67 I/II (of V, before all numbers). Framed. - Splendid, strong and deep black impression with margin. Tear with old backing in the upper part of the vertical central fold which reaches to the image. (ca. 2 cm). Some browning mainly in the margins, and slight foxing. Overall good condition.

Sepolcro di Cecilia Metella, 1762. Aus der Folge: Vedute di Roma. Radierung, 45,7x 63,8 cm. Hind 67 I/II (von V, vor allen Nummern). Gerahmt. - Prachtvoller, kräftiger und tiefschwarzer Druck mit Rand. Mit alt hinterlegtem Einriss in der oberen vertikalen Mittelfalz, der bis in die Darstellung reicht (ca. 2 cm). Überwiegend in den Rändern etwas gebräunt und leicht stockfleckig. Insgesamt gut erhalten.
