(1621 Haarlem 1649) Children begging with a rommelpot player before the door of a farm house. Oil on panel. Signed lower left: JvOstade. 33 x 26.5 cm. Expertise: Dr. Bernhard Schnackenburg, 20.7.2012. Provenance:–G. Cramer Oude Kunst, The Hague until November 1964.–Acquired at the above, private collection, Germany.–Via inheritance to the current owner, Swiss private collection. With a text by Dr. Walther Bernt dated 28.3.1953, confirming the authorship of the painting and dating it to circa 1640.
