IMPORTANT COMMODE "AUX BUSTES DE FEMMES" WITH BOULLE MARQUETRY, Regence, probably by N. SAGEOT (Nicolas Sageot, maitre 1706), Paris circa 1710. Red tortoiseshell, exceptionally finely inlaid on all sides with engraved brass in "contre partie" and "premiere partie". Top edged in bronze. "En arbalete" front with 3 drawers, the top drawer divided into two parts. Exceptionally fine, matte and polished gilt bronze mounts. Restorations. 123x82x71 cm. Provenance: from a highly important European private collection.
