WRITING TABLE,known as a "table a la glissiere", Louis XV, stamped RVLC (Roger Van der Cruse, maitre 1755), guild stamp, Paris circa 1765/70. Tulipwood, rosewood and partly dyed precious woods in veneer inlaid with flowers, diamond pattern and decorative frieze. Sliding top. The front with 1 drawer, the interior with leather-lined surface and 3 compartments for writing instruments. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Restorations. 61x40x72 cm.
