COMMODE,Louis XV, by M. FUNK (Mathaeus Funk, 1697-1783), Bern circa 1745. Walnut and burlwood in veneer inlaid with reserves and fillets. The front with 3 drawers with brass traverse. Rich, restored bronze mounts and sabots. Shaped "Grindelwaldner" top. 100x52x90 cm. Provenance: - From a Swiss private collection. - Galerie Koller auction on 23.5.1975 (Lot No. 255). - Private collection, Vienna.

Louis XV, von M. FUNK (Mathäus Funk, 1697-1783), Bern um 1745.
Nussbaum und Wurzelmaser gefriest sowie mit Reserven und Filets eingelegt. Geschweifter, trapezförmiger Korpus mit vorstehenden, vorderen Eckstollen auf wellig ausgeschnittener Zarge mit geschweiften Beinen. In der Mitte gebauchte Front mit 3 messingtraversierten Schubladen. Reiche, restaurierte Bronzebeschläge und -sabots. Profilierte "Grindelwaldner"-Platte. 100x52x90 cm.
