SCHMID, DAVID ALOIS (1791 Schwyz 1861).Landscape in Thurgau with farmhouses in the foreground with peasants at the plough. Watercolour, pen and black crayon. 26.5 x 39 cm. Old inscription in pencil at the bottom of the sheet: Thurgau. - Scattered tears in the broad margins, one of which reaches just up to the image. Image with minor browning in parts. Overall good condition with fresh colour.

Landschaft im Thurgau mit Bauernhäusern, im Vordergrund mit Bauer beim Pflügen. Aquarell, Feder, schwarzer Stift. 26,5 x 39 cm. Im unteren Blatt mit Bleistift alt bezeichnet: Thurgau. - In den breiten Rändern einzelne Läsuren, wovon eine bis knapp an die Darstellung reicht. Die Darstellung stellenweise minim gebräunt. Insgesamt in guter und farbfrischer Erhaltung.
