LACQUER JEWELRY CASE "AU PAVILLON JAPONAIS", Napoleon III, signed MAISON ALPH. GIROUX (Alphonse-Gustave Giroux, died 1886), Paris circa 1860. Fine lacquer painting in "gout japonais", silver-plated bronze and enamel. Pagoda-shaped case with hinged door and partly hinged roof. 30x30x51 cm. Provenance: - Acquired by Loyd-Paxton Inc., USA. - From an American collection.
