RARE SMALL SNUFF BOX WITH HEAD OF A WOMAN AND GOLD MOUNT,Chelsea, ca. 1760-65. Masked head of a woman with rosettes as eyes, a white lace bonnet with a gold and white enamelled inscription 'MA SEULE FELICITE VOTRE AMITIE FAIT'. 18 carat gold. L 4.5 cm, H 4.2 cm. Das maskierte Frauenköpfchen mit Brilliantrosetten als Augen, mit weissem Spitzenhäubchen auf einer mit Rocaillen ziselierten Goldmontierung liegend. Der eingesetzte Achatdeckel an der Aussenseite mit einer gold und weiss emaillierten Inschrift 'MA SEULE FELICITE VOTRE AMITIE FAIT'. 18 karat Gold. L 4,5 cm, H 4,2 cm.
