STANDING BUDDHA.China, Ming dynasty or earlier, H 165 cm. Wood with traces of polychrome paint. The figure with finely sculpted robe and jewellery stands on a double lotus pedestal. Despite burn marks the high quality of the carving is still evident. The head, the right forearm, and the left hand are lost.

China, Ming-Dynastie oder früher, H 165 cm.
Holz mit Resten von farbiger Fassung. Die Figur mit fein skulpiertem Gewand und Schmuck steht auf einem doppelten Lotossockel. Trotz Brandspuren ist die qualitätsvolle Schnitzerei noch zu erkennen. Der Kopf, der rechte Unterarm und die linke Hand fehlen.
