A PARTLY GILDED COPPER-ALLOY FIGURE OF WHITE TARA ON A REPOUSSÉ BASE. Nepal, 17th/18th c. Height 14.8 cm.

Kupferlegierung, vorne vergoldet, Sockel Repoussé. Die reich geschmückte Schutzgöttin sitzt auf doppeltem Lotosthron und hält die Rechte in der Geste der Wunschgewährung, die Linke in Argumentationsgestus erhoben. Neben ihrer Schulter wächst eine Lotosblume.
