A SMALL COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF SHAKYAMUNI.

Tibet, 14th/15th c. Height 9 cm. Consecration plate lost.
Kupferlegierung. Shakyamuni sitzt breitschultrig auf einem doppelten Lotosthron. Die Rechte ruft die Erde zur Zeugin, die Linke liegt offen auf den Fusssohlen. Grosse Buckellocken umrahmen das Gesicht, das durch ein heiteres Lächeln besticht. Sockelplatte verloren.
