Engraved by Pieter SLUYTER (1675-1715) und J. MUTOER. Lot of six leaves with plants, butterflies and insects. From: Metamorphosis insectorum surinamensium. Including: 1. Figuier d'Amérique; 2. Malus Aurantia; 3. Papaya; 4. Guava.
Coloured copper engraving.
Four sheets with engraved signature in the image: P.Sluyter, one sheet signed: J.Mutoer, a further sheet unsigned. Each with engraved number lower right: 19, 30, 31, 33, 52, 64.
One engraving (No 31) ca. 30 x 23.5 cm. Other leaves, each ca. 37 x 27 cm. All in identical wooden frames.
