A PAINTED PENDULUM CLOCK ON PLINTH,

Louis XV, Paris c. 1740/50. The dial signed BAILLON À PARIS (probably G. Baillon, maitre c. 1750).
Curved wooden case painted with flowers and garlands on turquoise ground. Pierced bronze mounts in the form of volutes, leaves and flowers. Treize-pièce dial (restorations). Movement with spindle escapement and half hour striking on bell (repaired). The painting retouched. Bell repaired, hammer replaced. Movement requires servicing.
50x25x117 cm.
