A BOX IN FORM OF A GOURD-SHAPED WAR FAN (GUNBAI).
Japan, Meiji period, length 9.7 cm.
Decorated with the spinning yamauba (mountain witch) in gilt, silver and shakudô taka- and hirazôgan, the sides additionally incised. Gilt rims and silver plated interior.
