France ca. 1700. The dial signed CLAUDE LORY À PARIS.
Enclosed brass case, the chapter ring protruding laterally. Pierced brass top, engraved with tendrils and 2 griffins with a coat-of-arms cartouche. Large bell. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Later hand. Strongly cleaned and supplemented. Hand broken.
