LACQUER CHEST OF DRAWERS. Louis XV, stamped M. CRIAERD (Mathieu Criaerd, Master 1738), Paris circa 1760. Lacquered on all sides with "laque de Chine" and decorated in the "goût chinois"; with bright figural scenes on red ground. The gently shaped front with 2 sans traverse drawers, exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts, applications and sabots and moulded "Campan" top. 129x62x84 cm. Provenance: - from a French collection - Galerie Koller on19.3.2002 (lot. 1135). - from a Paris collection
