FINE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF AMOGAPASA. Set with semi-precious stones. A carefully crafted piece with fine detail. Nepal, 15th century. . H 15 cm. Wooden plinth From a Swiss private collection

aus feuervergoldeter Bronze. Die achtarmige Form des Avalokiteshvara steht auf einem runden Lotossockel und trägt rechts Buch, Lotosblume und Amrita-Flasche, während die linke Haupthand die furchtabweisende Geste vollzieht. Gebetsschnur und Schlinge sind verloren. Der prächtig geschmückte Bodhisattva trägt ein in Zipfeln herabfallendes, leicht graviertes Gewand. Brustschmuck, Gürtel, Ohrringe und Krone sind mit Halbedelsteinen besetzt. Eine leichte Neigung in der Taille und der etwas schief gelegte Kopf verleihen der Figur zusätzliche Anmut. Sehr sorgfältig gearbeitete, detailfreudige Figur mit Charme. Nepal, 15.Jh. H 15 cm. Holzsockel.
