POUDREUSE, Louis XV, in the style of P. FLECHY (Pierre Fléchy, Master 1756), Paris circa 1760. Tulipwood and rosewood in veneer also inlaid with reserves and fillets. The three-part top with central mirror inside and two lateral compartments, the front with central drawer under sliding ledge lined with green leather. 1 small drawer to the right. Bronze mounts and sabots. Freestanding. Requires restoration. 80x46x74 cm. Provenance: Swiss private collection.
Provenienz: Schweizer Privatbesitz. Die Werkstatt von P. Fléchy befand sich in der Rue du Faubourg-Saint-Antoine und wurde bis 1769 quellenmässig erwähnt. Fléchys Vorliebe galt der Herstellung bedeutender Möbel; sein Talent kam bei Kommoden, Encoignuren, Sekretären und Schränken mit reicher Marketerie oder gelackt im "goût chinois" hervorragend zur Geltung.
