IMPORTANT SKELETON CLOCK "PHASES DE LA LUNE",Directoire, the enamel painting attributed to J. COTEAU (Jean Coteau, Geneva 1741-1801 Paris), Paris circa 1800. Matte and polished gilt bronze and white marble, together with finely painted enamel. The pyramid shaped case with moon phase aperture and movement between 2 women with lyres, the plinth with chapter ring for days of the week. The clock with a fine enamel dial and a fine skeleton verge escapement striking the 1/2 hours on bell. Decorated with exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and applications. A fine sun pendulum and a later class case and wooden plinth. 45x18x58 cm.
