CHALK STONE STANDING BODHISATTVA. With remains of colour paint. The breast area lavishly decorated. China, Song-/Yuan-Dynasties, 13th century. H 110 cm. Stone sculptures from this period are very rare.

aus Kalkstein mit Resten von farbiger Fassung. Er steht auf einem Lotossockel und trägt eine hohe Krone. Als Bestandteil einer Trias oder grösseren Gruppe wendet er sich leicht nach rechts. Mit der Linken fasst er den Schal, der über die Schultern fällt, die Rechte war erhoben und ist abgebrochen. Üppiger Brustschmuck mit Rosetten und ein doppelschichtiges gegürtetes Gewand vervollständigen den Bodhisattva-Schmuck. China, Song-/Yuan-Dynastie, 13.Jh. H 110 cm.
