MARQUETRY DECORATED ASTRONOMICAL LONGCASE CLOCK Louis XV, the movement signed DEHEMENT A PARIS (Charles Nicolas de Hément, maitre 1750), the case signed L. BOUDIN (Léonard Boudin, maitre 1761), Paris circa 1760/65. Tulipwood, amaranth and partly dyed precious woods in veneer and inlaid with parrots, butterflies, flowers, leaves and scrolls. The shaped case with cartouche-shaped aperture and scrolled feet; the clock with enamel dial, indicators for hours, minutes, moon phases, sunrise and sunset, days of the week and star signs. The original movement "à complications" striking the 1/2 hours on bell. With a large pendulum with mask. Decorated with later gilt bronze mounts and applications. 60x30x236 cm. Provenance: from a German collection . An important clock in very good serviced condition
