OVAL GUÉRIDON, Louis XV, stamped C. TOPINO (Charles Topino, maitre 1773), Paris circa 1775. Tulipwood, rosewood and partly dyed precious woods in veneer also finely inlaid with cups, vessels, feathers and frieze. The "Carrara" top edged in a pierced brass rail, one leather-lined sliding ledge at the front and 1 drawer at the side. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. 60x41x72 cm. Provenance: - Galerie Gismondi, Paris. - from a highly important Eurpean collection. A fine guéridon in very good condition.
