MINIATURE TEMPLE-SHAPED TOMB TO SAINT PAUL,Late Baroque, Rome , 18th/19th century White/grey and "Portor" marble, alabaster, lapis lazuli and malachite, as well as matte and polished gilt bronze. With corner figures and text "Tu es vas electionis, Sancte Paule Apostole, praedicator veritatis in universo mundo", set on a stepped plinth with broad base and central sarcophagus with bust. 27x27x44 cm. Provenance: from a Belgian private collection.

Spätbarock, Rom, 18./19. Jh.
Weiss/grauer und "Portor"-Marmor, Alabaster, Lapis und Malachit sowie matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronze. Tempelform mit markanter Kuppel, 4 Eckfiguren und Schriftzug "Tu es vas electionis, Sancte Paule Apostole, praedicator veritatis in universo mundo", auf gestuftem Sockel mit breiter Sockelplatte und Sarkophag mit Büste. 27x27x44 cm.
