JUG, known as a "Bucchero Pesante-Kanne",Etruscan, 2nd half of the 6th century BC Dark painted fired clay. With figural handle. The sides with fine relief depiction of an armed soldier. H 34.5 cm. Provenance: - Galerie Arete, Zürich. - from a French private collection, acquired in 1972.

Gebrannter Ton, dunkel gefasst. Bauchiger Gefässkörper mit schmalem Hals, vorstehendem Ausguss und figürlichem Henkel auf profiliertem Rundfuss. Die Seiten mit feiner Reliefdarstellung bewaffneter Soldaten. H 34,5 cm.
