BRULE-PARFUM "AUX SPHINGES",Empire, probably L.A. HERVIEU (Louis Auguste Hervieu, 1765-1811), Paris circa 1810. Matte and polished gilt bronze, and burnished brass. H 43 cm. Provenance: - Galerie Carroll, Munich. - From a very important German private collection.

Empire, wohl von L.A. HERVIEU (Louis Auguste Hervieu, 1765-1811), Paris um 1810.
Matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronze sowie brüniertes Messing. Runde Schale mit durchbrochenem Deckel und Pinienzapfenknauf, auf 3 Sphingenstützen mit Tatzenfüssen und eingezogenem Sockel. Zentrale, mit Satyrköpfen verzierte Feuerschale auf Prismapostament. Vergoldete Applikationen in Form von Frauen mit Fackeln, Sternen, Rosetten und Palmetten. H 43 cm.
