SADELER, AEGIDIUS (Antwerp, circa 1570 - 1629 Prague).After Joseph Heintz. Diana bathing surprised by Actaeon. Engraving , 38.2 x 50.3 cm (sheet size: 48.5 x 64.5 cm). Wurzbach 62; Hollstein 105; Le Blanc 62. - Outstanding, deep black, even and nuanced impression with broad margins. Minor browning and small tears in the margins, the upper right corner with crease. Overall very fine condition. - Provenance: - Collection of Augustinus Arnold, not in Lugt; Collection of Conrad Baumann v. Tischendorf ; Private collection Switzerland .

Nach Joseph Heintz. Diana im Bade von Akton überrascht. Kupferstich, 38,2 x 50,3 cm (Bogengrösse: 48,5 x 64,5 cm). Wurzbach 62; Hollstein 105; Le Blanc 62. - Herausragender, tiefschwarzer, gleichmässiger und nuancenreicher Druck mit breiten Rändern. Dort wenig gebräunt und einzelne kleine Läsuren, die obere rechte Ecke mit Knickfalte. Insgesamt sehr schöner Erhaltungszustand. - Provenienz: - Sammlung Augustinus Arnold, nicht bei Lugt; Sammlung Conrad Baumann v. Tischendorf ; Privatbesitz Schweiz.
