CHARLES BLOUD, MUSEUM SUNDIAL WITH CALENDAR, ca. 1680. Ivory and silver. Rare, early diptych sundial with compass and calendar. Opulently engraved ivory case, signed C. Bloud A. Dieppe. 4-sided dial with calendar, compass, sundial, moon calendar. Similar specimens are on display in the Louvre, Paris and in the Royal Cabinet of Mathematical and Physical Instruments in Dresden. D 100 x 85 mm.

Elfenbein, Silber.
Seltene und frühe Diptych-Sonnenuhr mit Kompass und Kalendarium. Reich graviertes Elfenbeingehäuse, signiert: C. Bloud A. Dieppe. 4-seitige Anzeige mit Kalendarium, Kompass, Sonnenuhr, Mondkalender. Ähnliche Stücke befinden sich im Louvre, Paris und im Mathematisch-Physikalischen Salon (Zwinger) in Dresden. D 100 x 85 mm.
